Wow!!!!!

Yesterday I went around the side of the house to go do some shopping and as I walked past my plant stand a bird started flapping it's wings and then flew away.
It scared me when it started flapping but I didn't really think anything of it.
Today I took out some trash and recycling and discovered that there was a dove nesting in one of my herb plants.
Limo Man and I got out the new camera and took a couple of shots.
After doing a little research on doves mating habits I found out that the male will nest with the eggs during the day while the female takes over at night.
So if they are really nesting then we should see some little ones in about 14-15 days.
We're excited!

This coming weekend...

I hope to get out and practice with our new camera.
Hopefully I'll have some fun shots to share.

Last Weekend

My baby sister Mary and my brother in law Mason flew into Orange County last Friday night. It was a LaCrosse filled weekend of fun. Mason is the coach of the Westminster College LaCrosse team and my nephew Andrew is one of the coaches for the UC Berkeley LaCrosse team.
Limo Man took Saturday off so that we could go up to UCLA to see the Cal Bears play the Bruins. It was the first time Limo Man had ever seen a LaCrosse game and he loved it! The Bears vey handily beat the Bruins and it was a great day up in L.A. (a little cold but great).
Limo Man, Mary, Andrew and I then went to Jerry's deli to have some lunch. Then Limo Man took us on a sightseeing tour of L.A. We saw Rodeo Drive, and drove around Hollywood, Bel Air, and Westwood. It was great fun! Then we had to head back to Anahiem to meet with Mason who was with his team at the new Garden Walk Bubba Gumps having dinner after their game. It was Saturday night and all the restaurants were so packed that we drove to a restaurant away from the area to not have to wait for an hour and a half.
We had a wonderful dinner and headed back to Huntington Beach.
Sunday morning it rained while Mary and I headed out to Anahiem to pick up the rental car from Mason. I personally don't like driving in the rain but it finally cleared up and the sun actually came out later in the afternoon. I had Mary follow me to the airport and we got her situatated and she wasn't able to get on a flight.
Such is the life of a Delta Family.
It was a whirlwind weekend and I miss my relatives like crazy after spending time with them.

It's been a while...

I started out taking an Economics class this semester and after 6 weeks and the first exam (which I totally bombed)I decided that I was not going to torture myself anymore. Okay, so it was a condensed combination course that was one half Microeconomics and one half Macroeconomics, but I just was not getting it. So last Wednesday I dropped the class.
It's wonderful to feel so FREE!!!
I am also stress free on Monday and Wednesday mornings now so it was a good move for me all around.
I just wish I had completed my degree when I was younger because it's too hard to wrap my 53 year old mind around some of these concepts. And really...what am I going to do with my diploma at 85 because that's how long it will take me to complete it taking one course a semester!
From now on I'm going to try to take fun classes.
We'll all be happier that way.
