For a magazine launch the Limo Man got to drive clients in a Rolls Royce. How professional (cute) does he look? How "dashing"?
What a piece! (The car not the guy! Well um, okay, maybe the guy too)
Wow, Limo Man gets to have all the fun.

The Maybach.....Oh Baby!

One of the clients that Limo Man drives owns this Maybach. What a sweet sweet ride!
I wish I had a half a mil to get one of these (and a garage to park it in)
Oh yeahhhhhhh.....Gotta go now, my ride is here!

The U.S.S. Dewey

Limo Man recently drove the President of the Northrup Grumman Corporation Shipbuilding to the Commissioning of the U.S.S. Dewey. The Navy sure does a bang up job of decorating their ships!
Limo Man was sure excited when he got home so we had to get a shot of the hat and coin that he picked up at the commissioning.
The man is always up for a photo op!

Monday, 4/19 Dammit!!!!!

When I left for work Monday morning I checked to see if there were any babies peeking out from underneath Mom. The only thing I saw was the Mama sitting on the eggs still. So I left for work. Limo Man called me just as I was leaving work to come home and told me that there was nothing in the nest. The Mom and babies were GONE! There was nothing but an empty nest. We have no idea what happened to them! Was it crows or that pesky cat that keeps lurking around here?
Mother Nature can sure be a cruel, cruel whore.

Saturday's Post

Saturday afternoon the dove flew off and left the 2 eggs exposed. One was just barely starting to hatch. I ran back into the house to get the camera for a few shots.
Of course after I took the shots I looked up and saw the Mama Dove giving me the stink eye so I took a picture of her and went back inside.
Okay, I admit it... I did go back outside to check to make sure everything was okay.....more than once.

Monday News

So I get home from work and there is an empty nest with 2 eggs in it and the Mama dove is sitting on the fence just glaring at me.
Needless to say I went in the house to get my camera to try to get a shot and by the time I got outside she was sitting on the eggs.
So no pictures at this time.
But the way I figure it we should be able to see some babies not this weekend but the weekend of April 17th.
I'll keep you posted.
In the meantime I am thankfully still employed and we haven't heard any more rumblings from the union about layoffs.
I think they'll start back up in May so stay tuned!

Happy Easter and an Easter Surprise!

Friday afternoon I came home from grocery shopping and walked by my planter with a load of groceries in my arms and a dove flew by my head and scared the bejeezus out of me. There was another dove sitting on the fence across from my planter which made me think that something must be up. We notice that there was nest in one of my mint planters again but there were no doves. Now I know why....they made a decoy nest and actually nested in my newly moved planter. Both of the doves flew off and I was able to get a shot of the one egg that they had laid.
Saurday morning daddy dove was back and we haven't been able to see whether there is just one egg still or if a second one has been laid yet.
Oh and by the way? That plant that the dove is nesting on was just planted last weekend. Those doves sure know my gardening habits.
Limo Man and I are just happy that they are back. We don't know if these are the parents from last year or the babies having their own brood. But Happy Easter and we'll keep you up on the babies.

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers...

I love flowers so I planted some of my favorites on the patio for spring. I love all the different and unique colors of these violas.
This is a purple clover that came with a surprise....it bloomed!
I'm not sure what variety this beauty is but I love the shape, delicacy, and colors.
Man I wish I had a garden!
