I Remember....
When Tyler was going to Cal State Long Beach and we all decided to go to a taping of the "Tonight Show". This was before Leno left and the whole Conan O'Brien debacle happened. Oh to happier times. We went to Burbank to see the taping and had a blast. Leno does a whole before the show schtick with the audience and we were fortunate to get to go up on stage to meet the man himself. Okay, in all reality, Limo Man pulled me up on stage with him.

A Crappy Work Day & Then.....
Yesterday was one of those days when I just wanted to turn left instead of right to go to work. I just wasn't in the mood and Limo Man was on his way to San Diego. I was having problems with my smart (ahem) phone and I couldn't bring up the message that he had sent me that included this picture. And then the day suddenly got better.
For those of you who don't know what this is, it's the Hotel Del Coronado down in San Diego. I've always wanted to stay there because it's a piece of California history.

Monkeyboy and the Five Fingers
These are Fivefingers shoes made by Vibram. You can only find these at REI and the Vibram website (unless there are other outlets that carry them which I am unaware of) I gave these to Limo Man for his birthday this year and he couldn't have been more surprised. Finally, I was able to surprise the man.
I think you can see why they are called "Five Fingers"
They are great for water sports, yoga, climbing, and various other activities. Just don't go out on the hot asphalt with them on. You won't like it.

The Lights of Las Vegas
These shots were taken around 7pm. I was amazed that I was able to get such color. The Aria hotel is in the background and the Marriott Chateau is in the foreground. 
The 2 towers with the blue lights are the new Cosmopolitan resort.
Bally's has the purplish hue, Treasure Island is behind it and on the far end is the Trump Tower.
The Polo Towers is where my Mom and her friend Diana stayed recently. Behind the Polo Towers is the Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo has one of the best brew pubs in Vegas.

Las Vegas By Day
Early in the morning the city center gets the morning sun and that's why the glass looks so yellow. That's the new Aria hotel.
The Prada Store at City Center for all you shopping enthusiasts.
The tower on your right is one of the 2 new towers of the Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino. It doesn't open until mid December. The building on the left is part of City Center.
So here I am taking a picture of myself in the mirrored sliding glass door on our balcony. It was Limo Man's idea. It's amazing how clear everything is in the reflection. The big building behind me is the Planet Hollywood Westgate Tower. We actually went over to take a look at what they had to offer and got stuck in the "Time Share Trap". At the end of the presentation our guide started to take us into "the room" and Limo Man and I both stopped dead in our tracks and said "We aren't going into the room". Period...
The Wynn on the left and the Stratosphere tower on the far right. I don't know what the big building in the middle is but they seem to be still working on it.

Las Vegas is growing by leaps and bounds but with the economy the way it is today they have a 14% unemployment rate and most of the hotels are working with skeleton crews. Sad...
