Santa came a little early this year and boy was he good to me! He surprised me on Thursday, December 15th by coming home and giving me a beautiful card. Santa wrote in the card that he had a special gift for me with Lexus logo drawn on the card. I looked up at him teary eyed and said "WHAT DID YOU DO?" He said "Let's go see" and proceeded to take me outside to show me my new ride. He actually traded in his beautiful Tahoe to get this for me. After telling him that I wanted him to take it back and get back the Tahoe (because he loved that gas sucking car) I resigned myself to the fact that it wasn't going to happen and the Lexus wasn't going anywhere. The only problem? It wouldn't fit in my stocking.
But that's okay because we are having the best time getting to know the newest member of our fleet!
That Limo Man (I mean Santa) spoils me rotten! And I am the luckiest girl in the world!

A Little Perspective if You Please...
Every once in a great while Limo Man will bring a vehicle by the house on the way back to the barn. He likes to have his picture taken with some of the big coaches.
Needless to say Limo Man is 6'4".
This view of the beast makes him look really small....I'm just sayin....

The BEST Christmas Party
On Thursday December 1st we went to the BEST Christmas party down in Newport Beach. We had the BEST time! I got to see some people that I knew from the company and I also met a lot of new folks. The harbor cruise was the BEST! The food was the BEST! And the company was the BEST!
Thanks to everyone that made the Christmas party the BEST!
Now, can you tell I had a good time?
Look out because next year I'm bringing my camera and will be posting on L. Dub.

The LA Auto Show - 2011
Limo Man is up in LA today driving the Mazda peeps. The LA Auto show begins tomorrow.
Can you believe the size of this thing? And doesn't it look like there are 2 vehicles parked next to the coach? This coach is actually wrapped with the Mazda logo and information on the CX-5. The same image is on the other side of the vehicle.
So the question is....Is Limo Man driving 1 vehicle or 5?

More Lilies & Heineken Boy
Limo Man picked up the lily vases (which were extremely heavy I might add) and arranged them in front of the black drapes. Quite lovely huh?
Here's the second arrangement. They really came out looking great with the dark background.
We spent the Wednesday out at the pool and had a few cocktails while out there. The waitress was kind enough to bring us a bucket of ice which Limo Man borrowed and decided to wear as a hat. Hello Heineken Boy!
There's just something about a guy with a bucket on his head that makes me swoon!
Sometimes I'm at a loss for words....
Okay, okay, I'll stop now.

More of the SkyLofts
Across the street from the MGM Grand is New York, New York. They have this huge roller coaster so I thought I'd post a picture of it.
This beautiful big glass building is The Mansions at the MGM Grand. The Mansions is another VERY exclusive part of the MGM Grand. You wouldn't even know it was there unless you knew it was there! Our butler had to escort us down there! They have these huge villas, their own pool area, their own restaurant and gardens that make you feel like you are in Europe somewhere. We actually got to have breakfast there on Wednesday morning and we were the only ones there! It was almost like Limo Man reserved the place especially for us! Tres chic!
Limo man had to get in some ledge time too. It kinda looks like there are 3 of him. Lucky for me there's only 1 of him!
The Skylofts had these crestor electronic pads that was kind of like an IPad that you use to control the t.v., sound system, drapes and blackout drapes, etc. It was just an amazing piece of technology. Oh and here's another view of the lilies that were in the living room.
I love it when Limo Man finds something that makes him smile this big!
And of course I had to get a shot of him from downstairs looking up. Yes the bedroom wall was completely glass.
This is the beverage center. You had soft drinks, hard liquor, a cappuchino machine with 4 different kinds of coffee beans to chose from and a large selection of teas.
Darling, may I pour you a glass of red wine before we go to dinner?
We had dinner at the Grand Wok which is always such fun! We love to sit at the sushi bar and watch our favorite sushi maker Yoshi do his magic. If you ever get the chance to experience the Grand Wok you won't be disappointed.
The Grand sign at night....and yes, good night everyone!

Tuesday 9/6 in Vegas The MOVE
Tuesday morning Steve and Janet had to leave and we went down to the lobby to see them off. Limo Man had to stop by the front desk and he was acting a little wierd. So I walked up to the front desk and he told me that we had to move out of the Signature. He said "don't you remember that I told you that I had a surprise for you?" "Well, this is it!.....We're moving over to the SkyLofts!" The SkyLofts are a very exclusive part of the MGM Grand. There are 51 lofts all on the 29th and 30th floor of the MGM. They are all 2 story lofts with their own concierge and they even have butler service! Can you stand it?
As if that weren't enough when our concierge and butler took us inside this is what Limo Man had waiting for us! Calla Lilies are my favorite and he arranged to have 2 huge arrangements along with a chilled bottle of Veuve de Cliquot champagne with chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals strewn on the table. I have to admit that I was so overcome by emotion that he had planned all of this that I broke down in tears. How did I ever get to be so lucky to have such a romantic husband!
Here's a closer shot of the lilies. Just beautiful!
This is the second arrangement in the living room. Gorgeous!
Well of course we had to crack open that bottle of bubbly and I found my spot to enjoy the beautiful view.
If you have ever been to the MGM Grand you know that this sign is at the top of the hotel. It was right outside of our window.
This is the shower/steam room complete with a beautiful teak bench and 2 rainfall shower heads.
This is the infinity tub. Look at that t.v. in the wall. If you have never experienced an infinity tub it's time to try it ladies!
This shot is looking down on the living room from the bedroom. Wait...who is that handsome bald guy down there?
Limo Man also arranged to have these orchids waiting in the bedroom. What a guy!!!
And what a bedroom it was!!! They even have a menu that you can order your favorite pillows from! You only have 14 choices though.
Only 14??? REALLY????

Labor Day Weekend
For Labor Day we flew to Las Vegas to spend a few days with Limo Man's brother and sister in law Steve and Janet. We had such a great time with them! I'm just sorry that we didn't get any pictures of them. We had a blast seeing Jersey Boys, we had a fabulous dinner at Mesa Grille, and Monday we relaxed out at the pool in our own cabana. It rained on and off all day so it was beautiful cool weather. Monday night we went to Gallagher's steakhouse for dinner with Steve and Janet over at New York New York. It was so much fun to hang with them!
Monday morning when I got up it was overcast and cool outside so I went out on the balcony and got this shot of the hills. Just past the Monte Carlo the sun was only shining on a portion of the hill.
Here's a shot of the new Cosmopolitan towers. You can see that the sun was on part of the hills in the background as well.
And this guy? Why he's got a smile that could light up a room!
See the light on the wall? Why that's not from a light. It's from him!
Oh, and, you'll notice that he has a room service menu in his hand. Limo Man is always on the hunt for a snack.

Tuesday (and last day) in Catalinaville
The Carnival Paradise docks in Catalina every Tuesday morning. This is what we woke up to. It was so fun to see the Paradise again because Limo Man actually took me on our first cruise on the Paradise for my 50th birthday and here it was again. A little deja vu from the balcony!
This is the Catalina Island Inn where we stayed while in Catalinaville. It's such a beautifully restored Inn but watch out...there is no elevator. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a wonderful room with a great view but those stairs! Yikes!
Here's a front view of the Inn from across the street.
Just down the street from the Inn is the Hotel Metropole. It is right on the corner and behind the Metropole is a small boutique shopping center/courtyard. There were a few statues of eagles so I just had to get a shot of this guy before we left.
We stopped at the Cantina for lunch and then went on a walkabout up the hills on the Mt. Ada side of Avalon. I kept seeing this house from our balcony that had so many flags flying that I just had to find it.
Sadly our time on Catalinaville was over and we had to get back on the flyer to come home. Here is a shot of the Paradise that Limo Man took from the back of the flyer.
Impressive huh?

Monday in Catalinaville.....
Good morning Limo Man,
I'll be your driver for the next hour or two.....where would you like to go?
Oh man these golf carts are fun! I wouldn't mind having one to run my errands but I'm afraid I would get killed.
We drove all over Avalon and ended up coming down the road from the last leg of the airport. There was a point where Limo Man wanted to take some shots and there was nowhere to park so I parked at the first place I could find and he had to hike back up to the point. This shot of the front of the Casino is like no other.
There's our sailboat...oh wait, we don't sail do we? But the shades of the water are just lovely.
Here's the Avalon Harbor. Suitable for framing!
Oh yeah...here I am waiting and waiting and waiting for Limo Man while he gets his shots from the point. At one point I started asking people coming down in golf carts if they'd seen a really tall guy with a gray polo on up at the point. I started to get a little worried when they said no. Well now I know why they didn't see him....he decided to do a little hiking down to another spot below the point to get his shots. Needless to say I was really glad when I finally saw him walking down the hill towards me. Oh and that tower to my left? That's the bell tower that Ada Wrigley had built. Zane Grey built an adobe right down the road a bit and he loved to drink and play cards with his friends. Ada Wrigley was a prohibitionist and built the tower just to make Zane Grey mad. The bell chimes every
Monday night we dined at Steve's Steakhouse to celebrate Limo Man's 60th birthday. It was a great dinner, great ambiance, great wine and the best company EVER!
Happy 60th My Sweet!

More Catalinaville.....
Up at the airport there is a mural of the island that is all tile. I really liked the hand painted fish tile so I took a picture. It kind of reminded me of a fish cartoon or movie. Like something out of a fish tale.
There aren't too many natural water sources on the island so on the way back from the airport in the sky we happened upon this. Very small but beautiful.
Well we're back in town now and taking a walk about up towards the Casino. This is the Catalina Yacht Club. Not just anyone can go into this place.
So here we are at the Casino. It's probably the only Casino in the world that does not have gambling.....Really!
After our walkabout we went back to the room and took this picture of The Inn at Mount Ada from our balcony. The Inn is the old Wrigley mansion. Wrigley you ask? Why yes, the family owned Wrigley's gum along with a ton of other things. We had hoped to be able to travel up the Inn by golf cart to get some shots but they were doing some retrofit work and we weren't allowed to drive up there.
Nonetheless, more to come!
